Operations and maintenance Training Workshop for Infrastructure Cohort III

The DCGP Nicholas Maswai MBS, was received by  Deputy Commandant ACGP Susan Majere  to officially  open the Operations and Maintenance Training Workshop for Infrastructure at PSTC today.

The workshop is  formulated to equip staff within KPS with the relevant skills for  effective management and maintaince of prison facilities.The  programme was organized by the Directorate Planning and Development and sponsored by ICRC and the Kenya Red Cross Society whose major   focus is the crucial role of proper infrastructure maintenance in upholding humanitarian principles within prisons.

 The Deputy Commissioner General, on behalf of the Commissioner General, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the critical role infrastructure plays in ensuring safe, secure, and humane prison http://operations.In his address  he acknowledged the valuable collaboration between the ICRC and the Kenya Red Cross Society in supporting this crucial training initiative.

This workshop represents a significant step forward in equipping the KPS with a well-trained  workforce.

Present were  Director Planning and Development SACGP Patrick Aranduh MBS, Protection Coordinator ICRC Mariko Ivkov, Head of Disaster Management DR. Michael Ayabei, ACGP Dan Obiero among others.
