2024 RETIREMENT PART

Today the Kenya Prisons Service held a retirement party at Prisons Headquarters to honor and celebrate the Fourteen retirees for their distinguished service and years of dedication to the department. In attendance was, Commisoner General of Prisons, Brig. (Rtd)John K. Warioba, CBS, psc(K), rcds(UK)., the Commandant all Directors from Prisons HQ, Stakeholders, Dr. Robert Burale @burale1 as the guest speaker and the retirees with their families as the chief guests. The event commenced by a word of prayer from the clergy, there after, the Director Welfare and Rehabilitation, Jane Kirii gave some warm remarks to celebrate the retirees and thanked the guests for their attendance. She acknowledged the great working experience she had with the retirees and urged them to keep their eyes on the road as she wished them all the best in their future endeavours. In his remarks , the CGP urged the retirees to adopt the book of Numbers which talks of the retirement of the Levites, he further urged the retirees to keep themselves busy and promised to remain accessible to them for any assistance that they might need in the future. Outgoing Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons Kennedy Aluda expressed how he enjoyed his time at the Kenya Prisons Service, and stated how he started as a prison general officer and rose to the rank of Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons. He advised young officers that professionalism and diligence is the key to success in serving the department for many years. The outgoing Director of Administration and Personnel, SACGP Hassan Bugu stated that every journey has an ending to it as he expresses his gratitude for working with very many hard working individuals in the department. All the retirees were gifted by the department as the event ended.
