Working Visit to Nakuru Prisons Command

The Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Patrick Aranduh, CBS, conducted a working tour of Nakuru Prisons Command, where he was received by the Rift Valley Regional Commander, ACGP Joseph Saitoti, alongside the Officer in Charge of Nakuru Main and Women Prisons, CP Gerald Gichunge, and CP Sylvia Ngeiwa.
The visit was aimed at assessing the state of security within the institutions, evaluating the welfare of both staff and inmates, and reviewing the effectiveness of rehabilitation programmes.
During the tour, the Commissioner General also presided over the laying of a foundation stone for the construction of a church sponsored by the Nakuru Pastors Fellowship, highlighting the critical role of spiritual development in the rehabilitation process.
Senior officers present included the Director of Operations, SACGP David Kilundo, MBS; Director of Prisons Enterprises, SACGP Charles Mutembei, MBS; Director of Logistics, SACGP James Mureithi, MBS; and the Head of Infrastructure, CP Gabriel Koech, among others.
