A strong step forward in regional cooperation.

Today, the Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Patrick Aranduh, CBS, hosted the Director General of the Mozambique Penitentiary Service, David Arsenio, alongside the National Director of Cooperation, Isaac Nhacassane, during a courtesy visit focused on strengthening institutional ties.

The engagement underscored a shared commitment to building closer collaboration between the two prison services enhancing joint responses to evolving security challenges such as organized crime and terrorism, which continue to impact the region.

Central to the discussions was the importance of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. By exchanging expertise, skills, and best practices, both institutions aim to strengthen their capacity to create rehabilitation programs  for offenders of complex cross-border crimes including fraud, corruption, drug trafficking, and human trafficking Violent Extremist Offenders.
